Dear Pastor and Congregation,
I greet you in the name of Jesus, and in hope that this correspondence finds you all well. We are excited to announce that it is time for us to gather for our annual pastor’s conference. The 41st Pastors’ Conference will convene at Virginia St. Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. M. O. Fort, serving as our host pastor. The conference dates are March 13th-14th with session times scheduled for 9:00am, 1:30pm, and 7:00pm.
I am anticipating an enriching, edifying, and spirit-filled conference. The conference theme is “Moving Forward While Being Forged in Our Faith” (Col. 2:1-10). Our guest preacher is Rev. Dr. Virgil Hill, Pastor; First Baptist Church, Harrodsburg, KY. We are extremely excited and looking forward to hearing the Word through this gifted preacher.
We are also looking forward to the Wednesday afternoon message being delivered through the deliberate and dynamic preaching of Rev. Cedric Cheatham, Pastor, Princeton Street Baptist Church, Crofton, KY, and Dean of our Congress of Christian Education. We have classes designed for the edification of the body of Christ that will be facilitated by Rev. Jerry Smith and Deacon Ray Palmer, both of Gordonsville Baptist Church, Hopkinsville. All pastors will be participating in a round table discussion.
For our conference we are asking each church to register with $135, each pastor with $50, and each associate minister with $25. On Thursday evening during our final session, we will have our Hopkinsville College of the Bible Rally. I ask that you be supportive of our college as it continues to recover from the fiscal challenges that were posed by the pandemic.
In closing, a registration form is inserted, and the conference program will be available on our website (firstdistrictofky.org) for your convenience. If you have any questions or need additional information, please do not hesitate to call me at (270) 498-4561. I am looking forward to seeing you all as we collectively continue to “Move Forward While Being Forged in Our Faith”.
Your servant in Christ,
Rev. Dr. Timothy A. Collazo
