Dear Pastor and Congregation,
I greet you in the matchless name of Jesus the Christ.
We are grateful to God for allowing us to convene for our 158th Annual Session. Our host pastor was
Rev. J.L. Deeds and we thank him and the Durrett Ave Baptist Church family for serving as gracious
hosts during this impactful session.
As we all know, time waits for no one, and we find ourselves preparing to collectively reflect on the
passing of another year. We continue to pray for the families of so many who were with us and made
the transition from labor to reward. They would remind us that the work must continue; therefore, it
is with great anticipation that we prepare our hearts and hands to serve God towards the close of our
159th session, and in the years to come.
Your district cordially invites you to join us for a session designed to edify, enrich, and encourage all
its participants. We will convene on September 24th-25th at Mt. Zion MBC in Earlington where Rev.
Terrence Minor serves as pastor. Our general theme is “Moving Forward While Being Forged in our
Faith” Colossians 2:1-10, and we will be completing our “walk” out of the second pillar of our vision
statement which is “Maintaining Biblical Truths and Teachings” 2 Thess. 2:15. There will be classes
available for all, along with great preaching, worship and fellowship. I will have the honor of bringing
my second address as your servant/leader.
Each church is asked for a registration of $135, and we ask that you please take note that
representation into any of the district auxiliaries, does not meet the same criteria as registration into
the district through the parent body. We also asked each church to bring a special offering for the
Hopkinsville College of the Bible during their rally. If you are willing and able to donate to the college
and register into the parent body, we ask that it be made through two different forms of
disbursements.
We thank you for considering this appeal and look forward to seeing you all there.
Your servant in Christ,
Timothy A. Collazo
